{"id":200,"date":"2014-09-05T17:24:14","date_gmt":"2014-09-06T00:24:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.magicalrobot.org\/BeingHuman\/?p=200"},"modified":"2022-03-09T22:55:09","modified_gmt":"2022-03-10T06:55:09","slug":"popular-science-and-the-daily-planet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.magicalrobot.org\/BeingHuman\/2014\/09\/popular-science-and-the-daily-planet","title":{"rendered":"Popular Science and the Daily Planet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WOW!\u00a0 We just got some really great media coverage this week!<\/p>\n<p>First, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.popsci.com\/article\/technology\/weird-tumbleweed-robot-might-change-planetary-exploration?fVpByxZUI27dapgf.01\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Popular Science posted a really nice blog about our work.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And then <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discovery.ca\/Video?vid=432389\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Planet, from the Canadian Discovery Channel, posted a great video segment about our work<\/a>, which we spent a day filming with them back in May. This highlighted some of our first outdoor tests of the <a href=\"http:\/\/best.berkeley.edu\/drupal\/node\/153\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UC Berkeley &#8220;tensegrikit&#8221; bot,<\/a> which is intended to be a low cost platform for students to use for learning about tensegrity robotics.\u00a0 Finally, we just had a our work highlighted on<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/content\/super-ball-bot\/#.VBCqQLxdXgT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> a top-level NASA &#8220;shareable&#8221; web-page.<\/a>\u00a0 Lots of attention!
